Mast Crane
Book the use of the mast crane
Service Description
Please come prepared with as many crew as you can muster, and plan to help out a few boats before and after your assigned time to offer support to other members. You should have 5 crew helping to step or take down your mast and one of them should be someone with good working knowledge of working with our mast crane. Be sure to bring any tools required loosen or tighten any bolt, stays, clips. Instructions For Mast Down - When coming to the East wall, have your sails and boom off, running rigging pulled back to the mast, electronics disconnected, and shrouds loosened. When your boat moves under the mast crane, you should be ready to attach the lifting strap. Have a choker line ready to position the strap as appropriate. Mast head electronics should be removed ahead of time, so as not to slow the un-stepping process. Once your spreaders are removed and your mast is ready, work with your fellow members to move it onto the mast racks. Please leave the larger and lower racks for heavier masts, putting lighter/smaller masts up higher in the racks.
