Please note: All sailors must be capable of passing the swim test of 50 yards (life jacket on). Must be able to tread water for 1 minute, (no life jacket). A swim test will be held on the first day of the session.

Please note: Sailing is a challenging sport and that the sailing evaluation process is rigorous. A sailor must consistently demonstrate sailing skills at the level they are wishing to complete. It may take a sailor more than one session to complete a level.

CANSail 1 and 2
Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 4:00pm.
​Students are introduced to dinghy sailing and progress through the FUNdamentals of safety, boat rigging, sail trim, helming and boat handling.
​
CANSail 3 and 4
Monday to Friday, 9:00 am - 4:00 pm.
​With a good foundation in the basics of sailing, students learn more about the technical aspects of sailing. Learning wind-sense, improved tacking and gybing, helming on all points of sail.
CANSail 4+ Skills and Racing Practice
Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 4:00pm.
​Students will learn advanced boat handling manoeuvres in a variety of conditions. This course is for you if you want to advance your strategical and tactical knowledge for the racecourse.
