Sail Past

All members are welcome to participate in this annual event! Registration required by Jun.8

Spectators are also welcome to enjoy in the celebration of SailPast .

Tradition dictates that all club members participate in the Sailpast, on their own or on another member’s yacht. Good manners require that a member unable to participate will send his/her regrets to the Commodore.

2:45 PM

All boats to be anchored, rafted or drifting on the Lake

on the lee side of Port Dalhousie Piers, East or West

depending on wind direction for Blessing of the Fleet.

3:00 PM

The Flag Vessel “Black Magic V” will circle the fleet, then

anchor & the Blessing will be conducted. (Be sure to attend,

have your boat blessed & thus be protected for the up coming

season)

3:30 PM

The Flag Vessel “Black Magic V” will return to the harbour

& tie on the wall outside the clubhouse. The Commodore &

Flag Officers will accept the salute aboard “Black Magic V”

3:45 PM

All boats to follow in an orderly fashion, allow about 2 boat

lengths between boats, circle around the Club Whaler, which

will be in the harbour south of the clubhouse (see diagram below)

past the Commodore who will accept the salute (see additional information below for flag and salute etiquette.) Your boat

will be announced so please register. At this point your boat

will be judged for Best Decorated & Best Dressed Crew, use

whatever theme you wish, Creativity counts!! (Decoration is

not mandatory but encouraged.)

After the salute please return to

your slip and then join the festivities at the clubhouse.
